Meeta Dama is Of Counsel with Legare, Attwood & Ragan, LLC. Meeta’s practice focuses on representing employees to protect their right to work and advance in their career in an environment free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Meeta also handles wage and hour disputes and advises employees in severance negotiations and other employment contract issues. Meeta is passionate about advocating for employees who were treated unfairly at work, and crafting strategies to combat workplace injustices on behalf of her clients.
Prior to joining Legare, Attwood & Ragan, Meeta acquired extensive civil litigation experience in both Georgia and California, and served as a law clerk to two United States Magistrate Judges. Most recently, Meeta served as a Trial Attorney in the Atlanta District office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has also taught Professional Responsibility as an adjunct professor at Georgia State University’s College of Law.
Meeta is the daughter of Indian immigrants and grew up in Duluth, Georgia. She graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with degrees in Political Science and Finance. Meeta received her J.D. in 2006 from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law in Los Angeles.
Outside of work, Meeta enjoys exploring Atlanta with her husband and two children, reading fiction, and art.
